DESCRIPTION:
We recorded this song because I had found out that this guy was putting together a Jellyfish tribute CD and I wanted to be a part of it seeing as how I had been a fan of the band for some time at that point (thanks Malone brothers!).
I contacted the guy and found out that all the album tracks had already been taken so I suggested one of my favorite obscure Jellyfish-related songs and he agreed.
I took the song out of its straight 4 and arranged it into a 3/4 rumble with a huge vocal breakdown and nice fat bass pedals and tied up with a sweet slide solo.
I ended up reaching out to Scott Patton and he arranged for us to record at Bruce Bennett's studio with Scott and Bruce engineering and co-producing...it turned out great and after Scott added a little frosting on top, it sounded fantastic.
The CD was released and I never heard another thing about it.
So here's the best thing that I think Negative Earth did.
