The Poetess was the first female rapper on Interscope Records where she released her 1992 debut album "Simply Poetry" on Poetic Groove/Interscope Records that featured an all star line up including: Jamie Foxx, Kool G. Rap, Def Jef and The Baka Boys.

Ms. Morris continued her career in radio and joined the staff of 92.3 The Beat (later 100.3 The Beat) in Los Angeles in1994. She hosted a weekly countdown show called The Agenda and later became Community Affairs Director and host of Real Talk, a show that focused on political, health and community issues. While at The Beat, The Poetess introduced the music of Erykah Badu, Next, Suga Free, Bobby Ross Avila and others to the Los Angeles listening audience. Morris resigned from the station in 2007 and started Poetess Media, where they produced content for clients such as Sprint Mobile and The GRAMMY Museum.

In 2008, Ms. Morris took on a gig as producer and co-host of Jamie Foxx's The Foxxhole on Sirius XM. "I had some of the best times of my life working on The Foxxhole!" states The Poetess. During her illustrious career, she has worked with media giants Clear Channel, Radio One, Sirius XM and MTV as well as entertainment luminaries such as Steve Harvey, Reverend Al Sharpton, Cedric The Entertainer, Tom Joyner, Judge Joe Brown and media mogul Cathy Hughes.

Felicia Morris has been at the forefront of new media content for over a decade. In 2012, her keen ear for on air talent, helped to build an online audience of over 1 million viewers in just under a year on rmconair.com.

In 2013, Ms. Morris put her dream in motion and started taking steps toward building Morris Media Studios, an Internet radio and podcast studio located in the heart of the Leimert Park/Crenshaw area of Los Angeles. Within the walls of MMS, The Poetess works daily building her Internet radio network morrismedialive.com - that focuses primarily on talk radio formats. "I think its important to help give the community a voice." says The Poetess who produces over 20 shows on the network.
