About Jeff Bowders:

Alrighty, the official MySpace "About me" top 10. Not necessarily the most important, not necessarily the least important.it's just the top 10.

1. Born and raised in Salem, OR

2. Started playing drums at age 11 after seeing Rikki Rockett of Poison on MTV.

3. I firmly believe if Rocky Balboa started a band it would be the best band in the whole world.

4. In 1997 I moved to Hollywood, CA to study at Musicians Institute where I now teach and warp young minds!

5. The first song of my first gig was a cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Ocean", which I played mostly in 4/4.

6. I lived in Nashville for almost 4 years where I toured and/or recorded with Rebecca St. James, Ginny Owens, Chris Tomlin, Paul Coleman Trio, Fusebox, and Larue.

7. One of my favorite books: "Uprising" by Erwin McManus

8. Since returning to Los Angeles, I've had the honor playing drums for Paul Gilbert, Damir Simic, George Lynch, Memento, Larry Mitchell, Philip Bynoe, D'amato, TJ Helmerich, Scott Ian, Michael Elsner, Taka Minamino, John Humphrey, Joy Basu, Michaelangelo, and Space.

9. In 2003 Hal Leonard Publishing released my drum instructional Book/CD "Double Bass Drumming-The Mirrored Groove System" also 2005 released my instructional DVD "Jeff Bowders-Double Bass Drumming Workshop" and finally in 2009 "Essential Drumset Fills-The Component Fill System"

10. I could live on OATMEAL and kind of already do.
