"The Truth (DJ Jazzy Jeff & James Poyser Remix)" is the title track on the highly anticipated new single from LA neo-soul trio Moonchild (out 13th January). Heralding a new remix from the Philly creatives, the single has had early radio support from Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music).

DJ Jazzy Jeff and James Poyser rework the “The Truth” by carving silvery keys through a laid-back groove to create a smooth, future jazz vibe.

Moonchild’s recent album ‘Please Rewind’ captured the hearts of tastemakers internationally and has been well-received by DJs including: Don Letts, Robert Elms (BBC Radio London), Jamie Cullum, Anthony Valadez (KCRW), and recommended by Huey Morgan as his record of the week. The band’s second single was met with an equally attentive reaction from KCRW who featured “Don’t Wake Me” as their ‘Today’s Top Tune’.

Moonchild are Amber Navran (vocals, tenor saxophone), Max Bryk (alto saxophone, flute, clarinet, keyboards) and Andris Mattson (trumpet/flugelhorn, keyboards, synth bass). In a whirlwind three years, they have self-released two albums, and collaborated or toured with highly-respected names in the soul-jazz crowd including Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, India.Arie, Leela James, Grammy Nominated band The Internet (Odd Future’s Syd tha Kyd & Matt Martians) and more.
