DESCRIPTION:
This performance is part of the December 2012 edition of Jazz at the Library, held in the Farish theater at the downtown branch of the Lexington Kentucky public library. The band is called Unit West. The players are Jason Tiemann playing drums, Steve Snyder playing the Hammond B-3 organ, Kris Eans playing trumpet and Tim Whalen playing tenor saxophone. The tune is called Lotus Blossom. This is a monthly series sponsored by Lexington's Jazz Arts Foundation and funded by Jamey Aebersold Jazz, a foundation in metropolitan Louisville Kentucky that supports jazz education and jazz performing arts.
