Here is the New Imer Traja Brizani & Amala album. For years, the group has been presenting us with a fusion of gipsy music elements, jazz and classical music. The connecting link in this album is the internationally renowned Australian singer Jackie Marshall; among other signs of recognition she got a nomination for the prestigious Australian Music Prize. In 2009, the Brizani group collaborated with this top-level Australian singer during the preparations and recording of the first Slovenian gipsy musical, The Glass Apple, and later on invited her to collaborate on the album as well. The result of this joint work is a musical synthesis of various traditions and cultures. It is also an intercultural musical dialogue of a kind previously not encountered either in Slovenia or elsewhere. With her extraordinary interpretational force and expressive voice, Jackie Marshall is flirting with the gipsy language and music, inviting us to join her on a wonderful musical voyage.
