DESCRIPTION:
Hi Fi Way is an album by the Australian rock band, You Am I, released in 1995. The album reached #1 on the local albums chart and is one of the most influential and critically acclaimed Australian albums of the last twenty years. In 2008, it was voted the sixth greatest Australian album of all time in The Age newspaper's 50 Greatest Aussie Albums poll. In October 2010, it was listed at No. 8 in the book, 100 Best Australian Albums.

"Kintail Road Kids," a band comprising of stalwarts of the Perth music scene came together out of their love of You Am I to perform Hi Fi Way in its entirety for the Newport Record Club, a series held in Fremantle that celebrates a classic record, hosting many shows that have had musicians come together to pay tribute to the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Weezer, Nirvana to name a few.

The album was performed live by Salv Di Criscito on Guitar/Lead Vocals (The Morning Night), Russell Loasby on Drums (The Autumn Isles, Institut Polaire, Michael Savage), Adrian Hoffman on lead guitar and keys (The Morning Night, Marley Wynn) and Michael Savage on bass (The Morning Night, solo).
