SAIL BECOMES A KITE - release 17 July 2010

The sun has set, the embers have been gently stoked and the reverb

has been spread thick. Nylon strings are gently plucked and surf

guitars drift by menacingly in the distance.

Opting for autumnal hues in place of their usual summery sparkle, Sail Becomes a Kite

is a surprising left-turn for The Bank Holidays, whose previous output has been exemplified by a giddy joyousness. Yet, still present among

the moodier, more filmic atmosphere is the band's indisputable grasp of melody and compelling song-writing.

In-store and digitally downloadable on 17 July 2010 through the dudes at the Lost & Lonesome Recording Co., distributed through MGM in Australia, and Darla in the USA.

Oh Daylight (filmclip - 2007)
