Schengen info:
Schengen are Nick and Ian (and the non-playing Helen). They have both previously been in separate guitar bands (Nick - Bovine Slug / Ian - Blind Panic, Mule) but met through a mutual friend and found a shared love of electronica, reverb, analogue synths and red wine.
They've released tracks on a few labels (Awkward Silence, Monopsone, Roisin, Distant Noise), and are now also lucky to be part of the "small but perfectly formed" MakeMineMusic label. It's run by a collection of like-minded bands rather than an individual or company. The rosta includes Portal, Yellow6, July Skies, Epic45, Avrocar, Weyland, August Stars and Schengen.

Make Mine Music:
is a truly radical independent label, established in 2002, run and owned by the artists themselves. The artists pay for the manufacture and promotion of their own records and correspondingly they receive 100% of any income generated by those releases. The label formed and run as a co-operative by members of the bands Portal, Yellow6, Schengen, Innerise, July Skies, Epic45 and Avrocar in 2001, now also home to Piano Magic, Textile Ranch, All Sides and others.
