A BRIEF HISTORY
Inferno Are A Band Like No Other.
Formed In 2003, They Have Steadily Grown Into A Musical Force To Be Reckoned With, Leaving A Trail Of Broken Eardrums And Open Jaws Wherever They Go.
Inspired By Their Hate Of Stale, Boring And Predictable Music, Inferno Have Updated The Raw Unadulterated Rock N' Roll Of The 60's And 70's (Minus All The Gimmicks And Clichés) And Brought It Kicking And Screaming Into The 21st Century.
Imagine If Lemmy Fronted Queens Of The Stone Age, Fused With Johnny Cash's Blood And Guts Badassery, All Topped Off With Quentin Tarantino Inspired Imagery, And You Can Start To Picture Where This Band Are Coming From.
"It's Like Being Sweet And Sour At The Same Time" States Frontman Joe Harvey, "It's Got To Be Pleasing To The Eye But, Dangerous To The Touch, That's What Makes It Special".
Completed By Drummer Jay Lee And Guitarist Liam Jepson, In 2007 Inferno Released "The Suicide Pact" And In Doing So Released "The Best Recording By Any Unsigned British Band This Year" As Said By Powerplay Magazine, Receiving A 9/10. Tours Of Russia, Holland And Finland Subsequently Followed, And Also A Support Slot With Japanese Rockers Electric Eel Shock.
2010 Sees The Band Release Their Long Awaited Debut Album "Welcome To The Lion's Den", An Album Which Inferno Says Has Been "Directly Influenced By The World Around Us" Says Joe. "It's Always Been A Dog Eat Dog World, But Now It's Worse Than Ever, I Think The Lyrics Reflect That".
The Subject Matter On The Album Ranges From Alienation, Despair, And Deception To Familiar Tales Of Regret, And Hopelessness. But It Isn't All Doom And Gloom. At First Glance It May Appear That The Lyrics Are All Dark And Downbeat , But Closer Inspection Reveals Otherwise. "The Album Is About Being In A Dangerous Place, With Your Back Against The Wall, But There Is A Way Out, And I Hope People Can See That".
The Album Kicks Off With Band's Familiar Unhinged, White Knuckle Rock N' Roll, Witnessed In Songs Like "The Lion's Den" And The Irresistibly Catchy First Single "Veni Vidi Vici" But As The Listener Ventures Deeper, Songs Like "The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye" And "Breaking The Pact" Show How Inferno Are Capable Of Taking Their Foot Off The Gas And Producing Something Truly Memorable.
It Seems There Is No Stopping This Ferocious Power Trio As They Continue To Evolve With Every Song They Write, But Never Compromising Their Enormous Sound. "We Want People To Know Who We Are, And We Want To Be Remembered In Thirty, Forty Even Fifty Years Time, Not For Getting Wasted, Or Any Other Cliché , But For Being A Good Band, With Good Songs".

Inferno were humbled last year, when they were named band of the month on "Danko Radio" a Canadian on-line radio station based in Ontario. They were interviewed via a web-link and it was a crowning achievement for the band.

INFERNO - WELCOME TO THE LIONS DEN
Posted by AlMachine on Wednesday, November 3, 2010
Inferno have been described as a 'welsh Queens Of The Stone Age' and after listening to their debut album 'Welcome To The Lions Den' it is clear that they deserve to be described in that way.
Opening track 'The Lions Den' kicks in with an incredible short sharp guitar riff which builds up into a crescendo of vocals and drums and to be honest sounds so much better than Queens Of The Stone Age.
The pace seems to shift up a gear for the next track 'Snakes And Ladders' which is an all out full throttle assault on the senses with its brutal meaty sledgehammer guitar hooks and thunderous drum rolls.
Their official website claims: "Now in their early 20s, INFERNO have been together since they were teens - local friends getting together to make music that THEY wanted to hear, united by their loathing of stale, boring 'cookie-cutter' music, and striving to be part of a movement to shift the rock spotlight back to the UK from the US. "
Inferno should easily achieve that goal if they can keep producing this high intensity, riff laden, air punching type of music. If you like rock music rammed full of melody ( think along the lines of QUOTSA and Kings Of Leon) then it would be worth taking time to listen to this debut album from Inferno. However be warned that each track seems to progressively become heavier and meatier as the album progresses.

MINITURE MUSIC PRESS REVIEW
Holyhead's very own hardcore rockers Inferno bring some white knuckle rock 'n' roll to their debut album. The album kicks off with The Lion's Den; a mad, bad and crazy heavy rock track, which drags you kicking and screaming into their musical lair. Veni Vidi Vici, their catchy first single, is full of lyrical dexterity and tough harmonies. Clairvoyant is a bass heavy, introverted track, and along with The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye and Breaking The Pact, Inferno take a deeper, more reflective approach and offer up tales of regret and despair with a glimmer of hope. Having been labelled the Welsh Queens Of The Stone Age, it's hard not to dismiss Inferno as just another over produced metal band, but it is clear this Welsh power trio are nothing of the sort; producing powerful, no- frills and no-nonsense rock, with raw guts and energy rarely found in today's market.

INFERNO'S 6 TRACK CD "THE SUICIDE PACT" WAS REVIEWED BY DAVE MUSSON FOR POWERPLAY MUSIC MAGAZINE 92.
This is his review:
Inferno are building a reputation as a powerful and unforgettable live band and continue to keep turning heads every time they play with their brand of modern catchy hard hitting rock/metal. Raised on a steady diet of Queens of the Stone Age, Motorhead, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Clutch, Kyuss and Mastodon, Inferno are certainly special and their EP 'The Suicide Pact' is an example of one of the hottest heavy rock sounds in the UK – signed or otherwise. They're polished and tight with flawless time changes; but they're RAW, they're cool and composed yet BRUTAL, it's fast, it's furious with riffs with catchy hook lines in abundance.
In the last three years the Welsh power trio have covered most of the UK, they have also played in Russia, Holland and Finland. Their latest CD features their rawest, heaviest and most honest material to date, documenting the raw emotion and destructive nature of modern life. They played an amazing set at the first METALBONE NIGHTFEST on the 22nd Sept 2007, which was filmed and 3 of their song's videos were featured on a TV programme called Ex-Tube on the Sky Extreme Sports Channel week starting 29th Oct 2007. "Inferno's sound is refreshingly original, and is a faultless example of how powerful three musicians can be when they really connect. This EP is immensely difficult to fault, its only downside being the fact that it isn't a full-length album. Inferno are by far one of the UK's best unsigned acts and you can't help thinking that with this much talent, it is surely only a matter of time before someone spots them and picks them up." 9/10

BARRY'S REVIEW FROM WWW.BARMOUTH.COM
I approached the Buffs club while Inferno were playing and thought it was a Motorhead track being played through the PA.
The sound is that tight and hard hitting. High energy is an understatement.
All three musicians are more than competent, the drummer is one of the finest I have heard anywhere, providing a seemingly endless supply of imaginative fills, while keeping a driving beat.
If you like powerful, no nonsense rock, bands don't come much better than INFERNO.
KELII'S REVIEW FROM EARDRUM BUZZ FANZINE
VENUE "GRAND CENTRAL" - MANCHESTER 07th AUG 08
I made a special effort to go and watch INFERNO this evening, hurtling through the doors just minutes before they took to the stage and i was glad i didn't miss a second. This is exactly the kind of band you want to stumble across in your local rock pub. INFERNO are super loud and in your face heavy rock n roll with more than a passing nod to Motorhead.
With todays climate of homogenised screamo bands and produced-within-an-inch-of-it's-life metal it's so refreshing to catch a band that just switch on, turn it up and blast you with balls to the wall, no frills, eardrum shredding, groove laden riffage. This young band from North Wales are worth your time if you like it hard and heavy.
