At the age of seven he began playing guitar and fell in love with music. Soon thereafter he became enthralled with the electronic sound, influenced by Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Henry Saiz and Eelke Kleijn he began working on producing his own tracks and in September of 2010 his first EP entitled 'Autumn' was released. His remix of Guy Gerber's 'Timing' was played live by John Digweed and also on his Transitions show as well. Simon has since gone one to earn support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the future certainly looks bright for this talented up and coming producer. This week sees Simon making his debut on one of the best new labels this year: Tetsuko Records. After the labels first 3 releases which contained originals and remixes from Tom Glass, Seb Dhajje and Damabiah Tetsuko has quickly earned its place among the progressive house elite. Simon's new single entitled 'Inception' represents the labels 4th overall release and it comes with remixes from: Mike Griego, Alessandro Diga and Scotty A. Simon's original is certainly one of his most accomplished productions to date. It's a smooth, pumping dance floor groove that comes with an ethereal sounding hypnotic lead and a breakdown filled with warm textures and gorgeous, wispy soundscapes. The subtle accents like the soft angelic sounding vocal pads and gently building sweeps add so much to the overall flow of the track. It sounds effortless as it transitions from idea to idea with ease, just liquid smooth stuff from Simon, can't wait to see what the future holds for him!

Argentina's Mike Griego has already achieved a measurable amount of success over the course of his two and a half year production career. Appearances on Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and Igor Cold's Somebody's Story Music have earned him praise from not only Nick but Hernan Cattaneo as well. Mike's 'Inception' interpretation comes with a thick, throbbing bass line with immense drive and some wonderfully spacious sounding drums. A heavily processed vocal loop provides the perfect hypnotic vibe to coincide with the rich atmosphere that surrounds the piece. It's just of those records that you know is going to sound amazing in a big room because of its overall presence and atmosphere. Amazing stuff from Mike.

Dutch producer Martijn Van Dijk aka Alessandro Diga has been one of the more prolific progressive producers over the course of 2011 and he's also been one of the most consistent as well. With very well recieved releases on Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box and Paul Hazendonk's Manual Music Alessandro continues to grow and grow with each production. For his 'Inception' interpretation Alessandro has gone with a slightly deeper and techier vibe which still retains the amazing hypnotic elements from the original. The Dutch producer's intricate sound design is on top form here yet again. As the mesmerizing elements continue to build the delicately placed keys work the emotional senses just perfectly and when the waves of top end chords come to the forefront the effects of Alessandro's composition are truly outstanding.

Closing the package out is UK producer Scotty A. who has seen several of his productions released on Denis A's outstanding DAR imprint and Igor Cold's equally impressive Somebody's Story Music. This is Scotty's debut for Tetsuko and he's delivered a truly sublime remix to complete the package. Scotty's deliberate deep groove provides the perfect DJ friendly intro, it's a slow builder and as the drum elements continue to get added each one is more profound and the groove intensifies. It's the subtleties of this mix that really standout, the atmospheric and melodic accents have such a wonderful effervescent quality to them that you can't help but be totally captivated by the composition. Two legendary DJs once said 'you don't need a sledgehammer to crack open an egg' and Scotty has proven that to be true once again. Amazing remix and a top notch package from Tetsuko who everyone should be keeping an eye on!
