DESCRIPTION:
San Francisco's Great Apes will be releasing their debut full length on 12", compact disc, and digital format this coming fall on Asian Man and Side With Us Records. Inspired by written conversations and interviews with friends, each song is representative of a different person and spun around varying narratives and musings. The notion of viewing friendship and community as a powerful and interlocking tapestry of shared experiences and stories binds the record's independent parts together. Thread was recorded and mixed in early June of 2013 by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden in East Palo Alto, CA.
