'Once I Was' was written by Tim Buckley and featured on the 'Goodbye & Hello' album from 1967. It was also the first song that Jeff Buckley heard his father's voice on at the age of 6. Jeff Buckley also performed this song as a closer to the evening of the 'Greetings from Tim Buckley' tribute at St Ann's Church in Brooklyn, NY.
