Like wearing a worn pair of jeans fresh from the wash or learning something new about an old friend after a night at the bar, Bryan Dunn's songs combine classic roots rock and unconventional lyrical candor, and deliver something both familiar and new. The dynamic performer from New York City (by way of Austin, Texas) has an enthusiasm that wins over even the most jaded city dweller. With his new album, 'Vicious Waltz,' Dunn distills his blend of guitar-driven ’60s pop rock and plaintive country wailing down to a 10-song album as engaging as his live shows.

Co-produced by Dunn and David Cerequas, this is Dunn's third solo release, following the 2006 album 'Static and Scripture,' and the 2007 EP 'Shackle Melodic.' Previously, Dunn was the lead guitar player and songwriter for the cult-favorite Austin, Texas-based band 3 Penny Opera, and was the frontman and lead guitar player for New York City-based band Simple Thing, which flirted with label signings before its members moved on to solo projects (including Johnny Hi-Fi).

Joining Dunn on 'Vicious Waltz' are Drew McKeon, Jeremy Goldsmith, Misty Boyce, Jim McNamara, and Emily Helming. In addition, the album features guest appearances by many of Dunn's friends from the tight-knit local musician community in New York City. The album was recorded at Cove City Sound Studios and The Gallery Recording Studio, and was mastered at Scott Hull Mastering.

Dunn has already begun touring select East Coast markets in support of the new release, and will continue to deepen his coverage of the region post-release. The album has already received pre-release airtime on several independent New York podcasts, and is currently available on CD Baby, Amie Street and iTunes .

"Strongly influenced by the 60's musical invasion of The Beatles, it's almost impossible not to hear fragments of Lennon and McCartney in some of Dunn's work. With his passion for folk music burning bright, he fuses the two influences together making for a sound that's just irresistibly sweet." - Joel Crane, NME
