DESCRIPTION:
Guitarist Hubert Sumlin, known primarily for his wprk with Howlin' Wolf from 1955 to 1976, crossed over in New Jersey on Sunday, December 4, 2011. A native of Mississippi who grew up in Arkansas, Sumlin was included recently in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," being ranked at No.43. This version of "Sitting On Top Of The World" is from Sumlin's 1989 album "Heart & Soul." Appearing on the album with Sumlin were blues harpist James Cotton as well as Little Mike and The Tornadoes.
