DESCRIPTION:
I was eleven years old and spending the day at my nans. It was 3'oclock in the afternoon and my nan and I were watching a film called Serenade. It was Starring Mario Lanza. The moment changed my life. Mario Lanza began to sing Ave Maria in a church. He sang with so much feeling and emotion I knew then that one day I wanted to sing like that.
A few weeks later my nan gave me a Mario Lanza CD after I told her I was learning the song. I went up to my bedroom and started playing the Ave Maria and I decided to sing along. This led to this recording which was recorded when I was 12 years old.
It later along with 'Be My Love' was put on the Memories CD, recorded by Damon Lanza, Mario Lanza's son as part of their private collection.
