Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank aka roots music troubadours Ian and Teague Alexy are on the road again playing shows surrounding the release of their new album American Shuffle. American Shuffle, the follow-up to Hobo Nephews critically acclaimed 2013 album Number One Contender, will be available on CD, digital and vinyl on Chaperone Records. Ryan Young, fiddle player for string band superstars Trampled By Turtles, produced American Shuffle.

After all the traveling Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank have done since their inception in 2005 it is fair to say brothers Ian and Teague Alexy have some hard-earned perspective on America to infuse into their unique blend of Americana music. On American Shuffle, trains are presented as both escape and a representation of dreams real and empty. A variety of emotions accompanying love are dealt with, from reverence and spiritual surrender to lust and disdain. Two songs joyously turn modern day sports stars into folk heroes. American Shuffle contains an American traveler's wisdom.
