Teague holds the quite original distinction of being a clever young trailblazer in the current roots music revival in Minnesota alongside status as a local high school legend making primitive old school hip-hop as a South Jersey teenager. That's just the beginning. Teague's last album The New Folklore was an impressive foray into the art of storytelling getting four nominations at the 2009 Just Plain Folks Awards in Nashville, TN with 'A Good Clean High (off a dirt cheap bottle of wine)' taking home a Best Song Award. His three albums with brother Ian Alexy in a national touring two-man foot-stomping roots music outfit called Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank inspired one writer to call them "the new kings of Highway 61." David Keiski of The Weekly Reader calls Teague “a potential great new American voice. The gift of painting pictures with words is a unique one, and this man is truly blessed.”
Though Teague's last release was The Hobo Nephews September 2009 album Traveling Show, he has hardly been inactive. He has two finished albums of his own; one produced by Erik Koskinen in Minneapolis and the other by the production team of Eric Pollard and Steve Garrington who play together in the bands Retribution Gospel Choir and Low. Teague is also set to release the debut from his electronic project A Gentleman Named ActionSlave.
