DJ Step1

Los Angeles party rocker DJ Step1 commands dance floors with electro, hip-hop, mashups, breaks, and classics from every genre. Step1 earned her reputation as a world-class turntablist with the release of Bikini Wax. Co-created with DJ Shortee, Bikini Wax is the first battle record produced exclusively by female DJs. She's also part of the famed all-girl DJ crew Females Wit Funk, whose members include Shortee, Annalyze, Tyra from Saigon, and Supra.
Aside from her dedication to scratching and turntablism, Step1 has devoted herself to dance and music appreciation. From DJing to breakdancing to teaching university courses on hip-hop, she has an extensive musical background and the skills to back it up.
