Lindsey is an award-winning country songwriter, who earned a Grammy for the song "Jesus, Take The Wheel," recorded by Carrie Underwood, and another in 2020 for "I'll Never Love Again" from A Star Is Born. She also received a Best Original Song Academy Award for "Coming Home," recorded by Gwyneth Paltrow in the soundtrack to the movie Country Strong. In 2019, Lindsey received the ASCAP Global Impact Award.

Lindsey is one of five 2020 Grammy winners who have participated as panelists or performers at the ASCAP Experience in the past.
