What's Iceface Tuning?

The concept of Iceface Tuning is to tune every sharp and flat note in each key 50 cents higher. These highered notes are now quarter tones called "ice notes" in Iceface Tuning.
You can use these ice notes mainly as passing notes and grace notes and give detune and doubling-like effects to specific notes of the melody and chord tones in the composition/performance.

アイスフェイス・チューニングとは
調の中のシャープ、フラットの音を全て50セント高い4分音に割り当て（ハ長調ならば全ての黒鍵）それらをアイス・ノート(Ice Note)とし、主に経過音または装飾音として用いることで旋律及び和音に局部的なデチューン（コーラス）、ダブリング的効果を与えた作曲、演奏を可能にします。

簡単に言い換えると、不要の鍵盤を50セント程度（半音の半音）高くして、その音を主に右側の鍵盤の音にぶつけたりして、その音だけに与えるデチューン（コーラス）、ダブリング的効果を生み出すチューニングのテクニックとも言えます。

This Iceface Tuning can be developed to Ice Tonality.
In Iceface Tonality, all the modes will have ice notes. ( Iced Lydian, Iced Mixolydian, e.g.) This Iceface Tuning even applies to non-western music scales such as Maqams. (Iceface Maqams)


このIceface Tuningを発展させたIce Tonalityではあらゆる旋法にアイス・ノートを付属させることになり（Iced Lydian, Iced Mixolydian　など）、このコンセプトは非西洋音楽であるマカームなどにも適用できます。 (Iceface Maqam)
