Heretic

Summer 2005 – The beginning of a young, creative band called Heretic. That was the first time they got together as a origin on initiative and wish of solo guitar player Marko. Firstly bass player Matej (Cat) and drummer David have joined his idea. Later Rok came in the band as second guitarist and after breaking up with their former vocalist a new power on vocals became Sebastijan (Šwed).
Because of different interests they applied a new member on drums at the beginning of year 2007. Tilen brought a new strong power to their music and style. This was the inducement that Heretic started to work and create more seriously, with goals, outlined program and a huge measure of creativity. Their style of music is somewhere between Groove/Hardcore/Trash Metal with a taste of strong powerful vocals. Their influences are new wave metal bands like Lamb of God, Killswitch engage and they also reminiscent on the world metal legends Pantera because of the great vocal and guitar technique. Most of their repertoire represents their authorship songs. Their music is loaded with energy, fast rhythms, dynamics and convincing guitar riffs. They also focus a lot on stage performance, so you just cannot stay motionless when heretic are playing.
One of their achievements is 1st prize on a competition of a magazine Maturant&ka and out coming CD compilation. They place in national selection for a popular Rock festival called Rock Otočec, in semifinals of Live Award, finals of Škisova tržnica and ŠouRock and they reached 2nd place on a national rivalry for Golden Cymbal. They performed over 40 concerts all over Slovenia in 2 years and a half. They played in Gala hala with some famous Slovenian rock and metal bands and they were also performing on a big festival of a famous radio station (Radio Rogla). They performed on a resounding festival in Austria called Newcomer where they reached 4th place and have been invited on a club tour over Austria.
In May 2008 they were invited on a small club tour in Norway, where they performed on the biggest festival in Trondheim called Nattrock. Meanwhile they decided to go in studio with producer Tomaž Rebernak and record an EP called From anger to pain, which came out in October 08. 5 powerful songs with dynamic rhythms and strong vocals gave them wings to continue they work. They had to replace 2 bass players in their period of creating with which they did not found the same interests. At the beginning of 2011 Klemen Ribič came to join the band as a new power on bass guitar. In April 2012 they are going to Austria at RockHard studio to record their first debut album with producer Lorenzo Antonucci (Sworn Enemy, SmashFace). The album will be released in fall 2012 with big promotion and club tour all over Slovenia and foreign countries.
