Moody, spontaneous, inspired jazz duo performance by Dutch jazz musicians Anton Goudsmit, guitar and Harmen Fraanje, piano, when they performed at the KringJazz event at De Kring theatre, in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013.

Guitarist Anton Goudsmit is a much sought-after player who does amazing things with whatever music he is presented with or writes. In 2001 Anton formed the Ploctones to perform a series of his compositions commissioned by Dutch NPS Radio. Anton also performs internationally with the New Cool Collective as well as Eric Vloeimans' Fugimundi trio (US tours in 2008 and 2010). Anton Goudsmit won the coveted Boy Edgar Prize in 2009 for his contribution and standing on the Dutch Jazz Scene.

At the moment Harmen is performing a lot with cellist Ernst Reijseger and singer Mola Sylla from Senegal. In January 2013 the German label Winter & Winter will release their debut album Down Deep. Besides that Harmen recorded his first solo album in October 2012 at Rainbow Studio in Oslo. Recently Dutch guitarist Anton Goudsmit and Harmen formed a new group with German bass clarinet player Rudi Mahall and drummer Samuel Rohrer from Switzerland. The release of their debut album is expected in 2013. And then there is the group Par 4 Chemins with French drummer Toma Gouband and bassist Brice Soniano. So far this group released two albums for the French label Cristal Records; the latest album 1RDR features flute player Magic Malik. In spring 2013 Par 4 Chemins will record a new album with music suggested by circle compositions, mostly composed by Toma. Harmen is teaching at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
