DESCRIPTION:
SHOFAR - WELLNESS
Music for deep relaxation based on Makam Music (Middle Eastern Melodic System) and inspired from Dhrupad Indian Music, played on the clarinet. With my Clarinet, I play as if I am praying for healing of the soul with different middle eastern scales I tune for different frequencies. This musical meditation is on Makam Rast, one of the main Makams in Middle Eastern Music. The old tradition suggests that it is most effective at early morning and it gives a feeling of wellness to the listener. In old times they used to treat mental health with this Makam.
Playing taksim (improvisation) focusing on wellness, the sounds that come out with my breath with the vibrations of the Rast flavors fills me with joy and happiness. This is my healing process and I am sharing a small piece of it with you. Hope you will enjoy.
