This wonderful song was written in 1953 by Al Jacobs and Jimmie Crane, the first release was recorded by Eddie Fisher that same year hitting the #1 spot on the US Billboard and Cash Box charts. Several stars have recorded it such as Betty Johnson, Wanda Jackson, Harry James, Ronnie Dove, Floyd Cramer, and of course Hank Locklin did this version in 1964, I'm not sure how well it did on the US charts or anywhere else, but I know it's an excellent performance by Hank, and I hope you enjoy, Dave
