והעצים, כמו אברי הנשיבה של השדרה
ישאירו דוגמאות של לילה
ברווח שבין צוארה לסנטרה.

גשם לילי שוטף את דרקוני האספלט
שארית המים מתוארת בשלוליות
ובארבע לפנות בוקר שפת המיתולוגיה נוגעת בשפת המדרכות.

רשרוש הנשירה יכול להתנגן כמו בתקליט של פול סיימון
הענפים יתישרו תמיד כסורגי כלא
ורק המבט בעיניים עדיין מטורף אחרי כל השנים האלה.

בקצב הזה עוד תצא אש מהלוע
ורחוב יבגוד ברחוב.
האור האדום יהיה אור פנסי הנייר
