DESCRIPTION:
The song "Hinagiku" by Gutevolk is heard when your fallen shadow avatar finishes the tutorial area and finally make its way back to the tower where its body is held prisoner. When I heard it the first time, a shiver went up my spine and I was in awe of the tower in the distance. I knew that I had my work cut out for me but I was loving the shadow concept to let it get to me. I've always liked puzzle platformers and Lost in Shadow is one of my favorites of recent years. It was fun having to play as a shadow and having to manipulate light sources and other shadows to get through areas. As well, the desolate atmosphere harkens back to another of my favorite puzzle platformers that was released on PS2 called Ico.

Gutevolk is the solo project of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Hirono Nishiyama. Gutevolk's music, generally accompanied by Nishiyama's whispery, childlike vocals, is a mix of ambient electronica alt.folk with subtle hints of jazz and pure pop.
