When danger did approach

One night while the village slept
A darkness crept in quick
The unicorn reacted too slow
And the darkness played a nasty trick
The unicorn was fighting
The darkness swirled and sneered
But by the time the sun came
Her horn had disappeared

Just then a wandering stranger
Came knocking on her door
His name was Higgs Boson
And he was thirsty so she gave him water
Higgs Boson asked why so glum
The unicorn told her tale
Higgs said aw you that's nothing my dear
For magic ain't great white whale

Magic lives in your heart you see
You don't need no stinkin horn
You just be who you were born to be
And that's one kick ass unicorn

The unicorn lifted her head
She looked to the horizon
Pink and gold were shooting up in the sky
All beside the setting sun
The darkness it came back
And the unicorn stood her ground
Her eyes lit up and her nostrils flared
And her hooves began to pound

She showed that darkness oh what for
She said I AM THE UNICORN
And suddenly on her head
The was her old horn

You have magic in your heart
You're not a cold machine
You are like that unicorn
When life gets low down and mean
When all hope seems lost and you
Wish that you hadn't been born
Stare that darkness in the eyes
And say I AM THE UNICORN
