StillSuit - Bicycle For Two - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 15, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
In the winter of 1997 the New York outfit STILLSUIT released 'At The Speed of Light' a follow up to their six song EP 'Green Spock Ears' released on WRECKAGE RECORDS.
From the time of their inception in early '93 STILLSUIT would build a reputation as a musicians band. Between Orlando Arce's unorthodox chord progressions / inventive soloing, Manuel Carrero's melodic bass lines, Dimi Douvas' intensely driven rhythm style and the punk inspired vocal style of Julian Vasquez whose lyrical sense was as straight forward as it was abstract giving much depth and style to 'coming of age' subject matter, they would set their own distinct style. Soon the band would catch the attention of producer Don Fury whose credits include - Agnostic Front, Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Burn - and a substantial number of bands who would release recordings on Revelation and Wreckage records. The relationship between producer and band would yield four recordings and two official releases - 'Green Spock Ears' ep and 'At The Speed Of Light' lp -
The 14 tracks comprising 'At The Speed Of Light' display a very stylistic approach to heavy weighted music - producing an avant garde sound in an unholy meeting with NYHC, Punk and Metal.
