DESCRIPTION:
King's College House Music is an annual event where the eleven house's of the school compete for the coveted House Music trophy. There are two events that contribute to the score of the competition, The first is Small House which consists of a small group of students that perform a song at the school. Then Big House where all the students in the house perform, this is held at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. Both events take place within three weeks and the winners are announced at the end of the competition.

MC Reverend Walters' Notes:
This next item is rich with cultural significance. For the Latin and Classic scholars among us it will strike a chord because the song tells of the famous destruction that befell a Roman town when a certain mountain erupted in AD79 killing 16,000 inhabitants.
And as for the band, see if you history buffs can work this one out.
Dan Smith the singer songwriter who wrote this song, named his band after the day in 1789 when French Revolutionaries stormed the state prison used by the Kings of France...
