Got the go-to from Raymond last night, so y'all can finally have at it: some fresh dickspit from California's S.B.F. (Soggy Bum Flaps, composed of Cruz Somers [Socialites: https://socialites.bandcamp.com/album/palibar-mystic-chess-volume-i-ep] and Raymond Schmidt [Race Car: https://abnormalbroadcasting.bandcamp.com/album/build-your-own-go-kart , Shrink Ray: https://ojcrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/some-songs-about-horses-and-a-quick-trot-with-satan-through-the-city-into-the-woods-and-down-to-hell]), slated to be released by Italy's Goodbye Boozy Records around... shit, May, I think? I'm pretty sure Ray-Ray said May-May, but my memory's failed me on more than one occasion, so take that with a grain of salt. Just keep an eye on Goodbye Boozy's various social feeds (https://www.facebook.com/Goodbye-Boozy-records-290057827714548/) if you're keen on nabbing this 7", otherwise this video should be enough to tide you over until the record's inevitable release.

And make no mistake, this video's the real fuckin' deal. The whole shebang, the whole kit and caboodle, none of that "teaser" pussyfooting nonsense. This is BOTH sides of S.B.F.'s upcoming record, and you better fuckin' believe I'm gonna burn this thing from both ends. True burners worship with caution, because S.B.F.'s darkened guitar tones, snappy drum programming, and scathing multi-guitar solos are more than enough to singe a few eyebrows. "Double Blind" -- containing two song initially premiered on S.B.F.'s live performance on Highland Park TV (along with some cool Slipknot-mask action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc9Mi7T_qy0) -- takes on a bit of a different tonality than their debut cassette (https://abnormalbroadcasting.bandcamp.com/album/s-b-f), veering towards metal-like, drum-machine-backed sound reminiscent of some of Cruz's past efforts, and even making use of some excess noise-makers à la Raymond's Race Car project, but is undeniably just as fierce and captivating. This record is fuckin' quality, but I've learned to expect nothing less from these geniuses -- minimal sarcasm intended.
