DESCRIPTION:
The GIbson Les Paul Standard 2014 is an incredible instrument which combines everything you know and love about the classic Les Paul with some modern features that are really player friendly. Featuring the eTune robotic tuning system and coil-tapping humbuckers, this thing is a powerhouse of versatility. We took it for a lengthy spin so you can check out all the sounds on tap.
Rather than a review or tutorial, we felt you should be able to hear the different sounds available on the Gibson Les Paul Std 2014 to draw your own conclusions. We tried to go through every option systematically with a range of clean and distortion sounds so you can check out all the tones.
We hooked the guitar up to a Marshall Slash Signature SL5 combo which perfectly suits a Les Paul, and recorded it in Presonus Studio One using a Beyerdynamic M201 through the new Warm Audio TB12 Tone Beast preamp and WA76 compressor. All the sounds you hear are from the guitar and amp, no additional pedals or processing was used.
Enjoy!
