Arranged by John Malachi one evening in his basement of his home on Division Ave. I kept telling John about this song that me and a friend wrote. So finally he said come over. John sat at the piano and I sang the song to him phrase by phrase until the song was finished. In about an hour he had it on paper. He asked what was the name of the song? I told him we hadn't gave a name yet, so he said surprisingly since I'm gonna feature you at the club next moth let's call it "OPENING NIGHT". On that evening in 1975 I would receive my new stage name "YOUR MAJESTY" George V Johnson Jr. John Malachi was my first musical mentor and introduced me to Arnold Sterling one evening at the PIGFOOT Night Club. Arnold played a few songs and it was the beginning of a long friendship. We played this song many times together. This song is in Memory of Arnold Sterling and John Malachi with love.
