Song of the Week for week #33 kicks off fake book February with Bill Evans' Alice in Wonderland. Childhood friend and westside drumming hero Peter Ruskin turned me on to the Live at the Village Vanguard album (among many others) at the age of 17 and the trio format as I knew it has never been the same since. I felt like I was hearing music for the first time. Thanks Peter, this one is for you.
