DESCRIPTION:
My cover of Willy Porter's "Paper Airplane" - Recorded from scratch in The Tone Parlour, my modest home studio in Cincinnati, Ohio.
From time to time, I like to attempt a perfect reproduction of a song I like (or at least as close as I can reasonably get). This is presented only with respect and admiration for the original artist.
Production Notes (if you're interested in this sort of thing):
* Acoustic guitar is a 1986 Taylor 615
* Bass is a passive Fender Precision/Jazz Special running through a SansAmp RBI Preamp
* Electric guitar is a ~1980 Electra Invicta running through an original POD Pro.
* Keys & Strings are an ancient Ensoniq SQ-1 Plus 32-voice keyboard from about 1992.
* Drums & Percussion are loops and samples.
* Acoustic guitar and lead vocal were recorded with an original B.L.U.E. Dragonfly (which I have since sold, and now regret it), running through a Grace 101 preamp.
* Everything was recorded and mixed in Reaper, and then mastered in Sound Forge.
