The Fallout Shelter in Norwood, MA has seen some fine musicians take the stage for The Extended Play Sessions and none fine than D.C. jazz-funk sextet The Funk Ark. Comprised of some of the best jazz musicians in the jazz-rich Washington D.C. area, the Funk Ark is the brainchild of keyboard master Will Rast and the band rounds out with Greg Loman (guitar), Joe Herrera (trumpet), Matt Rippetoe (saxophone),TJ Turqman (bass) and Graham Doby (drums). Combing a collection of jazz styles that pull from different eras the music is confident, bold, experimental and insanely well performed. The hit the Fallout Shelter during a stint opening for Parliament Funkadelic.
