Formed in 2004, F-Units is a punk-influenced hard rock band based in NYC featuring New Orleans native Scotty B (vocals/rhythm guitar), Tommy Unit (bass), Max Mayhem (lead guitar), and Frankie 7 (drums). F-Units got their name from diesel engine locomotives built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division in the 1940s and 50s — a metaphor for the band's sound: hard, fast, loud, heavy -and fueled by power-pop hooks and raunch-rock riffs slammed together with the driving force of a runaway freight train.



F-Units released their debut album "Reject on Impact" on September 29, 2006 (on-sale at CDBaby.com, Interpunk.com, and iTunes). This DIY debut features ten blistering pop-influenced punk tracks recorded last year in Brooklyn and mixed by Los Angeles producer Scott Gilman (Avenged Sevenfold, Damone).



F-Units unique brand of bouncy pogo-rock occupies a space in popular music that has not been tapped into very often -- falling into in a realm that is somewhere between 'punk' and 'hard rock' yet cannot be pinned down to either. All of the songs are quite catchy -- complete with lyrical harmonies and superb melodic hooks.



F-Units are currently mixing their second studio album where the band finds itself expanding into the realm of a more arena rock sound for the masses. Check out the preview track "Alone in Babylon" exclusively here on myspace.
