Ken Loomer Jazz Quartet featuring John Lamb & Franco Marino-C Jam Blues - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 13, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
This was a great night for me to have my friend the great John Lamb playing bass for me. John during the 1960`s played bass with the great Duke Ellington. I have known John for over twenty years now and he is one musician who I have learned a lot from. He has just turned 80 years young now and he sounds better than ever now. So in his honor I had him play the famous Duke Ellington jazz standard "C Jam Blues". In jazz you never know what`s going to happen,so my tenor sax man Franco Marino wanted to do something with just him and John at the end of this tune. I love it when things like this just happen. Playing piano is Tony Castellano. This was from my Jazz Quartet concert at the famous 15 South Ristorante Jazz Club in Sarasota Florida. For more info on me and my bands and concert dates, goto kenloomer.com.
