Soil Collectors - Windbird (official video) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 15, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Official video for Soil Collectors - Windbird.
The track is taken from their forthcoming album Tah-tay Leet'-kah lah, to be released on Havtorn records April 22.

Windbird was inspired from two different folktales.
One from the inuits of Greenland were it’s said that in times of great starvation and cold winters, one man, most fit for survival, left the tribe and the community to live the rest of his life in solitude out in the wild. As this venture was impossible to survive, the men often died.
The memory of these brave individuals lived on through an image, that the men were still alive but had turned into dangerous wild animals. This was to prevent people from searching after their lost family members who most certainly already were dead.

The other folktale comes from the native american tribes who explained the nature of the winds by imagining a giant bird sitting on a rock, and while flapping it’s wings creating the wind.
