"The Worst Revenge"
At School they picked on Jimmy
At School they beat up Jimmy
At Home Jimmy Couldnt find a friend
So the boy went down to the record store
Five bucks in his pocket not much more
Bought a goth rock record from the bargin bin
Now his hair is long and nails are black
and hes got his self-esteem back
if they won't let you join em you gotta beat em
Looking for money in his step dads room
Found a 45 pistol and it made him feel cool
And now he know how he's gonna make em pay
Jimmy Went to School with a gun in his bag
They took his pride hes gonna take it back
But I wish someone wouldve told you
It gets better as you get older, and its best to live and fight another day
The teachers said Jimmy was a monster
the kids at school said Jimmy was a freak
where were they when he needed a friend
The Parents blamed rock n roll records
and the college proffessors blamed outlaw culture
where were they when Jimmy needed a helping hand
Where were they two months ago
In the locker room when they stole his clothes
When he fought back they sent him home
Or when the girl he liked was standing there
And they called him a fag made fun of his hair
and thats when he decided what he had to do
Now nobody mourns at Jimmy's grave
Things they have happened nothing changed
But I wish someone wouldve told ya
it gets better as you get older and its always best to fight another day
At school they picked on me
At school they beat me up
At home I couldnt find a friend
So I went down to the record store
Five bucks in my pocket not much more
Bought a punk rock record from the bargain bin
Two fingers in the air and a black leather jacket
Gave me a reason to fight back
I found myself in the three chords of those songs
And when I heard your story on the news tonight
I shook my head and I wiped my eyes
For I know its by the grace of god go I
