LYLAC is the new solo project conceived by Amaury Massion (MY Tvis DEAD, Attica). In this latest folk adventure, he is accompanied by cello player Thècle Joussaud (Debout sur le Zinc, Oldelaf).
The music is generous and emotional, with a strong emphasis on Amaury's vocal and lyrical talent, and features songs in both English and French. All the songs are written and composed by Amaury and inspired by his travels to Asia, much like the music of CocoRosie or Devendra Banhart.
The cello lines are a perfect compliment to the vocal melodies that oscillate between smooth and turbulent atmospheres. Despite LYLAC's delicate songwriting, there is a strong and powerful energy that comes through in the music.

LYLAC est le nouveau projet solo d'Amaury Massion (MY TVis DEAD, Attica). Dans cette aventure folk, il est accompagné par la violoncelliste française Thècle Joussaud (Debout sur le Zinc, Oldelaf).
Les compositions de LYLAC, chantées en français et en anglais, sont portées par une musique sobre et directe, laissant une place importante à la voix et aux textes. Tous les morceaux écrits et composés par Amaury sont autant d'ambiances sonores imprégnées de ses voyages en Asie, un peu comme dans la musique de CocoRosie ou de Devendra Banhart.
Les lignes de violoncelle répondent à la perfection aux mélodies vocales et naviguent entre douceur et envolées rageuses. Car même si LYLAC développe un songwriting sobre, il s'en dégage une puissante énergie.

LYLAC is een nieuw folk solo project van de zanger Amaury Massion (My TV is Dead, Attica), in samenwerking met de Franse cellist Thècle Joussaud (Debout sur le zinc, Oldelaf ...). Eenvoudige en directe muziek, die een belangrijke plaats laat aan stem en tekst, en waar de cello lijnen tot in de perfectie de vocale melodieën beantwoorden, al navigerend tussen zachtheid en woede. Want ook al ontwikkelt LYLAC een sobere songwriting, het wekt ook een krachtige energie op.
