The '73 Violet Rams Head is a pedal that can stun with its mixture of sonic assault, tone and homely looks. Desirable? Hell yes. Freely available? Nope, it's a rare bird now. Aaron from ARC Effects is a major fan of this now over-40's pedal, and he's given it back to us with some extra loving in the form of modern build, looks and a very handy 3-way Mid Voicing toggle (Flat, Scooped, Boosted). True bypass, of course. Does the Shepherd rock? Indeed, the Shepherd doth rock.

I could have demoed this pedal like anyone else - with a Strat, Tele, SG or Les Paul, ad nauseam. But no! Why do that when you can hear MORE! After all, a Muff is all about more, right? That's why I've used the Ibanez beast. It's really just a great H/H axe with DiMarzio PAF's and a longer scale. Er, and a couple of extra strings.
