iLLiTe

Born and raised in Detroit Michigan, ILLITE was inspired to rhyme

around the 1994-95 era. Playing around writing verses here and there

but he really didn't start taking it seriously until around 2000-2001

when he got his start under Onebelo's Subterraneous Records. He made

his debut on Subterraneous' "WATERWORLD TOO" album released in 2001.

As apart of the SUB Crew he would become a more seasoned

artist/performer. Doing shows from within the Metro Detroit area to

Seattle, Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Chicago opening up for the likes of

De la Soul, Mos Def, Jurassic 5, Slum Village, Redman and others.



In 2006, he got with his partner DJ Phrikshun aka Octane to put

together the "FORGOTTEN CHOSEN" project easing into the spotlight a

little more. The duo made a name for themselves around Michigan for

having a live show and incredible chemistry.



Fast forward to 2008, ILLITE felt it was time to put forth a solo

effort, Creme' de la Creme'. "I chose that title because throughout

the years I've always felt like I was on a journey, trying to figure

out exactly what I want out of life and out of the music I create. In

the end I would say I want the best, who doesn't? Why settle for less?

Make the best music I can make and live life the best way I see fit,

hence "Creme' de la Creme', 'Cream of the Crop' or 'Best of the

Best'."



The Future

"I'm leaving it in GOD's hands. It took me 20+ years to get to this

point. I work off inspiration and when or however it hits me, I just

feed off that."
