SALCEDO - Adelaide's premier Latin band
Led by multi-faceted Colombian musician Hugo Salcedo, SALCEDO band performs an opulent mix of Cuban and Colombian rhythms, Caribbean breezes and New York vibes. They pay homage to the spirit of old, hard-core Salsa, and shake it up with the sounds of today.
Based in Adelaide, South Australia, SALCEDO have performed at the most prestigious Latin events across Australia and the world including the Malaysia World Salsa Congress, New Zealand Salsa Congress, Sydney Salsa Congress, Darling Harbour Latin Fiesta, Adelaide Salsa Festival and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival to name a few.
They have accompanied world-class musicians Tito Puente Jr (USA), Wilson 'Saoko' Manyoma (COLOMBIA), Edwin Bonilla (USA) and Miguel Enriquez (CUBA) in their Australian tours and have been support act for some of the world's most celebrated artists including Jose Feliciano (USA), Cuban songstress Omara Portuondo from the Buena Vista Social Club, West African vocalist Angelique Kidjo, Sonora Carruseles (COLOMBIA), Fulanito (USA) and 4EVER (USA).
