One of the requirements for becoming the president of the United States is that you have to be 35 years old. I hear some rappers stating that rapping at 30 is ugh! Well maybe we need a minimum age requirement if we want to hear music with some substance. Some of these lil ni**as with deals talk a lot of talk while walking a very narrow walk, taking predictable baby steps (or in some cases, dance steps) while trying to make a name for themselves in this gamescratch that, in this life of hip-hop music.
While many rappers have a diamond-grilled bark thats worse than their bite, this man is one of the greatest oxymorons yet to be discovered. Twenty-three year old Dayvon Ottey, a.k.a Mr. In-Demand, is best known to his fans as The Oh So Confident (I gave myself that name! he declares on one of his tracks). While the latter of his monikers is ecstatically obvious in his music and on stage, The Oh So Confident will shy away from any compliments on his undeniable talent. Already a crowd favorite, hell be the first to admit that hes sort of hotwhile other ni**as is luke warm. I havent been going after any deals because I need to step my game up. Im not where I wanna be with my writing. Well to the naked eye, hes been there and back.
Born on June 27, 1984 in the Bronx, Dayvon seems to be constantly motivated. Whether its by his borough (which he pays excellent homage to on Bang Bang Boogie) or the people around him. He has jumped from the Bronx, to Queens, to Fredonia, and now resides in South Buffalo, where he is on a number of grinds. His music is picture perfect of The Oh Sos diversity. He gives an outstanding club banger on the reason-for-the-name, boastful, and crowd favorite song OK. He can mirror the world around him with tracks like So Cliché where he vividly illustrates Dave Chappelles When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong and then easily turns the mirror on himself in the turn back the hands of time song, Rewind, where he wishes he could take back stolen moments with certain loved ones.
A shining star in his own right, The Oh So Confident is more than ready to take the world by storm. He has the knowledge, the swagger, and ambition to be the next big thing. He may have another oxymoron on his hands because there are definitely people out there saying, Day, you the next!
