Interview with Elan magazine - "Creativity in the Middle East" - Empty Chair's first interview

May 2011: Our very first interview and it was with an online magazine called Elan (www.elanthemag.com). This interview took place shortly after we started the band when an artist called "Madaline Marrar" (http://mmarrar.weebly.com), who is now our friend, was doing a documentary about creativity and artists in the Middle East. The band at that time consisted of Kamal Shbeir, Mohammad Taifi and Mohammad Hindi (The original founders of Empty Chair).

Empty Chair is an independent soft/alternative rock band that launched in Jordan back in 2011 by 3 artists. Most of the founding members have left the band in 2012; yet until today, it is led by Kamal Shbeir, the original founder.

After gripping the top charts of the popular radio stations with their hit “Shadows”, Empty Chair became one of the most requested bands in town and their musical reputation led them to rapid success in Jordan and the Middle-East.
