hey there.
i'm so sorry that we haven't been able to play a farewell show but everyone is so busy now and we're scattered all over the country, it's so hard to get everyone together. we are working on it however and if people are still interested in seeing us one last time then we'd certainly enjoy playing again.
to make up for our terrible organisation though we're trying to put together a downloadable collection of as many DSP songs as we can find. basically since we first started the band we named our songs numerically as working titles until we had settled on a name for them. so way back in 2005 we wrote our first song 'we're set' or 'DSP 1' and more recently in spring 2009 'hey zeus' was written coming in at 'DSP 32'. now we can't guarantee that we'll find every song because some were never recorded properly but we'll put together as many as possible and have it available as a free download to say thanks for all your support. we'll keep you posted!
download THREE PENNIES and HEY ZEUS at drop.io!
thanks to everyone who was ever a part of DSP as a fan, a promoter, a plugger, a driver, a photographer, a roadie, a manager, a friend, a brother, a sister, a mother or a father. we had an incredible and unforgettable time that thanks to you we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

"the release is just over 20 minutes in length, with enough hooks to keep abu hamza happy all year, and will almost certainly provide the soundtrack for many future indie club nights. it is not overshadowed by one particular stand out track, with each song presenting a valid case to be considered as a single. 'hanging out with humans' is a great release!"
- ALTER THE PRESS
"'no girls allowed' mixes math rock and pop together to create the catchiest British summer anthem since Blur's 'Parklife' in 1994."
- ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE
"maybe what minus the bear would sound like if their sole goal was to get you shaking your moneymaker, this is a wonky grooved winner." ('no girls allowed' no. 1 in '10 songs you should hear right now!')
- KERRANG! MAGAZINE
"indie headonism wrapped up in four minutes flat!"
- STEVE LAMACQ
"twiddly guitars, disco beats and snappy street choruses from data.select.party, whose combination of soul, style and sing-a-long potential should see them rocket."
- TIME OUT LONDON
"careening through a rapturous (wheeey!) twenty minutes of les savy fav-inspired frenzy, data.select.party allow no room for inertia. handclaps? check. intertwining, spiky clean guitars? check. group shouting? check. disco party? You bet!" (the social in london w/ dartz!)
