Earl Slick Covers the Rolling Stones with EBow and Heavy Reverb - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 31, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
We visited Earl Slick at the Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck, NY while he cut a supremely ambient guitar track for the band Me Of A Kind's cover of the Stones classic, "Play With Fire." Lucky for you, we brought our cameras. Earl found an incredibly eerie sound through a combination of an EBow, Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb, Orange amp, and Framus guitar. The MODVERB setting on the Soundblox 2 Dimension Reverb creates an extremely animated and vocal room sound with heavy ambient modulation.

Earl is great hang, we had a blast hearing him recount tales from his days recording "Double Fantasy" with John Lennon, "Station to Station" and "Young Americans" with David Bowie, and touring with The New York Dolls. It doesn't get more rock and roll than this.
