DESCRIPTION:
operaphila.org - Opera Philadelphia presents the World Premiere of BREAKING THE WAVES by composer Missy Mazzoli and librettist Royce Vavrek is based on the 1996 Academy Award-nominated film by Lars von Trier.

Co-commissioned by Beth Morrison Projects. This video features soprano Kiera Duffy and the Opera Philadelphia Orchestra and Chorus, recorded in January 2016 workshop, conducted by Steven Osgood.
