PUBLISHED:  Aug 28, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Charted at #17 on Billboard Hot 100 in January 1956. This was one of four Billboard charting singles for Dorothy. The others were "My Boy Flat Top" (#16 in November 1955), "Baciare, Baciare" (#43 in December 1959) and "Banjo Boy" (#79 in June 1960). Original Billboard review: "The thrush comes through with a spirited blues job on a tune that's already moving in R&B circles via the Clyde McPhatter disk. This is a classy effort with a solid orchestra and vocal backing. Could be a big one."

This song also charted at #18 for the Crew-Cuts in February 1956, and #44 for Clyde McPhatter (#2 R&B). In the UK, the song charted at #20 for Anne Shelton in April 1956.

Written by Willis Carroll and Carmen Taylor.

B-side is "Manuello".
